This is in response to a Sun Journal story with photos printed April 21.

What is going on in Lewiston? Why are people walking with “Stand Against Racism” signs? Marching with a racism sign from the YWCA down East Avenue on a Sunday is a disgrace. When people start walking with such a sign, they are going to create a problem, or even a riot.

Those people who think about racism are creating a problem for themselves. All lives matter, so keep the signs at home and don’t start trouble.

I have lived in Maine all my life and I have never seen any behavior like that. People who live here must get along and deal with the quiet life; be grateful with what we have here — freedom.

You can’t please everyone — it is a big world. You just have to live your life the best you can. Lewiston isn’t all bad.

Those people should put their signs away; using them will only create more problems.

We do the best we can here, so no racism marches — it is a bad thing to do. People should talk over their problems and get along. People do get angry seeing signs like that. This is Lewiston. People should be good and calm down.
