RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian burial for Therese Giambattista was celebrated Friday, May 13, at 10 a.m., at the Parish of The Holy Savior St. Athanasius-St. John Church with close friend the Rev. Raymond Picard as the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar server.
Readings were proclaimed by her daughters-in-law, June and Maureen Giambattista. Prayer of the Faithful was recited by her daughter, Linda Gallant. Musical selections included “Amazing Grace,” “Be Not Afraid” and “On Eagle’s Wings.” A poem “Joyful Soul” was written by her granddaughter, Jody Raio, and was read by her grandson, Michael Blouin.
Interment was in St. John Cemetery in Rumford. A reception served by the Daughters of Isabella was held in the Church Hall after the funeral.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
