RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Jean McKenna Libby of Rumford was celebrated 9 a.m. Saturday, May 14 at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius–St. John Church, Rumford with her brother the Rev. Joseph McKenna as celebrant and assisted by the Rev. Denis Mailhot. Altar Assistant was Bernard Poirier. Organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections included Ave Maria, Hosea, Amazing Grace and On Eagle’s Wings. The first reading was Psalm 23 pronounced by Jim McKenna. The second reading 1 Corinthians 15 The Resurrection of Christ was pronounced by Jennifer McKenna DiCioccio. The offering of Gifts were presented by Eric McKenna, Erin Westervelt and Katie Morse. The Eulogy was given by Constance McKenna. The Gospel: Luke 11:27,28 was pronounced by Deacon, Denis Mailhot. Committal services were conducted by the Rev. Joseph McKenna and the Rev. Denis Mailhot. Interment was in St. John Cemetery, Rumford. Pallbearers were: David Duguay, Tyler Morse, Michael Fowler, Daniel Fowler, Matthew Fowler and Franc Fowler. A reception followed at the Parish Hall of the church. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin Street, Rumford.
