1919 – 2016

FARMINGTON — Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Angela Giordano Nagle, 96, of Farmington passed peacefully surrounded by her adoring family.

She was born Oct. 11, 1919 in Meriden, Conn., the daughter of James and Josephine Giordano. She graduated from Meridan High in 1927.

During World War II Angela worked at “New Departure.” When the war ended, she married James Nagle and they raised three sons before James passed on Feb. 17, 1975.

She went on to work as a cook and kitchen manager at her brother’s nursing home until her retirement in 1984. She devoted much of her time to reading, traveling, cooking her delicious meals and spending time with her family, which was her most precious joy. Her strong will and zest for life will always be remembered.

Angela is survived by three sons, James Nagle and his wife, Terry, of Old Orchard, Robert Nagle and partner, Janet Young, of Windham, Peter Nagle and his wife, Lisa, of Livermore; six grandchildren, Shelly, Erin, Cory, Shawn, Lauren and Heather; eight great-grandchildren, Olivia, Annabelle, Ethan, Charlotte and Emma Jean Marie, Jagger, Olivia and Mason; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and ex-daughter-in-law, Deborah Nagle.

She was predeceased by her husband; and several brothers and sisters.
