1956 – 2016

LEWISTON — Claude L. Couture, 60, of Poland died Saturday, May 14 at CMMC following a four-day stay.

He was born in Lewiston on April 8, 1956, a son of the late Bertrand and Dorothy Gagne Couture, and he graduated from Lewiston High School in the class of 1974.

Claude was self-employed as a finish carpenter, had work at Bush Gardens, worked various construction jobs and held a CDL license driving commercial rigs.

He will be remembered for always helping people in any way he could and never asking for anything in return. He had little in life, but was always willing to do with less to help a friend in need. Claude will be missed by family and friends.

He is survived by his daughters, Mindy Hansen and husband, John, of Auburn, and Brandy Griffin of Cisco, TX; his sister, Elaine Little of Lewiston; his brother, Andre and wife, Debbie Couture, of Lisbon Falls; and his roommate, Reggie Grenier of Poland.

He was predeceased by his brother, Danny N. Couture of Tenn. in 2002.
