Police dispatchers advised their officers Monday night that the area will be closed to traffic for approximately two days.

According to the Lisbon Street Project schedule, crews have been installing a storm drain on Ash Street from Lisbon Street to the canal and on Lisbon Street from Ash Street to Rainbow Bicycle.

City officials have been posting the construction schedule on the city Web page.

Construction got underway last month. The project will rework the length of Lisbon Street between Chestnut and Main streets, replacing the road surface and sidewalks, reworking several traffic lights and adding landscaping and other enhancements — always maintaining access to the street and to shops.
