TURNER — Anita “Nini” Stanzilis Burnham spread her wings and went to be with her soul mate in heaven. She died at her summer residence in Turner on Saturday, May 14, at the age of 71.

Nini had a love of fishing, hunting, quilting and was often spotted playing cards with friends. She enjoyed the time she shared with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was extremely proud of each and every one of them.

She is survived by her three children, Michelle Sawyer and her husband, Joseph, of Turner, Kimberley Eells and her husband, Bruce, and granddaughters, Taylor and Chantel, also of Turner; Peter Knox and Helen Pinkham, granddaughters, Brooke and Gabby of Hartford and grandsons, Rylee and Mitchell Knox of Turner; and by her siblings, Gloria DeMascio, Bunny Lufkin, Connie Lang and John Stanzilis.
