LEWISTON — A seminar in the Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce’s Finance Matters Series will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, in the chamber conference room, 415 Lisbon St.

Presented by Thomas Carr, an Edward Jones financial adviser, this seminar will address the economy and include a discussion regarding actions to take today. Also explored will be today’s stock market, the importance of asset allocation, preparation for volatile markets and opportunities in the current environment.

The seminar is titled Outlook and Opportunities — Finding the Prevailing Winds — Investment Strategy and Market Commentary.

Carr graduated from Lewiston High School and received the Wall Street Journal Award from the Maine Business School in 2010 while attending the University of Maine.

The chamber will host Finance Matters seminars through December at the chamber office. Members pay $25; nonmembers $50.
