LIVERMORE FALLS — Police are investigating the theft of two handguns and cash from a residence on Strickland Loop Road, which is off Route 106, Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Thursday.
There was no forced entry that the homeowner could see, he said.
The burglary was reported at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police believe it occurred during the day while the homeowner was at work, Steward said.
The stolen handguns are a black Smith & Wesson 9mm and a bi-tone Springfield XDS .45 caliber, the chief said.
Investigating officer Stephen E. Gould canvassed the neighborhood to see if anyone had seen anything.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Livermore Falls Police Department at 897-3424.
