LEWISTON — Several Geiger associates recently received Geiger Star awards for the first quarter of 2016.

The Geiger Star awards are based on the set of corporate values, known as the Geiger Way. Geiger Stars and All Star Teams, by practicing the principles of continuous improvement, embrace fresh and innovative ways to add value to customers and positively contribute to the company’s business.

Recipients are nominated by their managers or peers and selected by an internal team. For this quarter, the following awards were presented:

Tammi Caouette, freight administrator, discovered that freight charges were not being processed correctly, saving the company $10,000.

Bryon Newcomb, network operations manager, negotiated a new contract that saved the company more than $20,000 during the next two years.

Gina Beggs, manager, corporate mail and site sale events, and Rob Angelides, transportation specialist, were given an All Star Team award for their work with the kitting services.

The Pop Up Stores Team also received All Star Team recognition for creating an eCommerce system that allows Geiger sales partners to easily create individual web stores for their customers.

Team members include Evan Smith, Web architect; Max Grover, business systems analyst II; Christine Shea, business/reporting analyst; Devon Irish, application developer; Mike McFadden, application developer; Wes Staples, application developer; Mike Plourde, director of data and analytics; Tim Bouchard, data manager; Bob Leduc, database specialist; Kristen Prosper, product data supervisor; Bethany Wyman Jr., software product manager; and Shawn White, director of business applications.
