PORTLAND — Melissa Mae Pike, 39, of Bryant Pond passed away Thursday, May 12, in Portland, after a long illness.

She was born in Lynn, Mass., on Feb. 16, 1977. She grew up in Salem, Mass., until moving to Maine in 2001. Melissa enjoyed playing sports. She loved her family and friends, the Red Sox, Elvis and cooking.

She is survived by her two children, Cameron Pike, 19, and Jessica Pike, 16, and her mother, Judith Pike, all of Bryant Pond; her best friend and partner, Tabitha Pike of Portland; four brothers, David Pike of Hope Mills, N.C., Jason Pike of Salem, Mass., William and Cheryl Pike of Georgia, and Mark and Cindi Pike of New Hampshire. She also leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
