1947 – 2016

DELTONA, Fla. — Michel P. Landry, 68, of Deltona, Fla., and Lisbon passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday, May 18, with his wife, Betsy, by his side.

Mike was born in Lewiston on Oct. 19, 1947, the son of Alphe Landry Jr. and Annette (Cote) Bleakney. He graduated in 1965 from Edward Little High School. He earned a degree in building technology in 1967 from Central Maine Vocational Technical Institute.

After working in various fields, his passion for carpentry led him to his handyman business from which he eventually retired. Mike loved Maine and enjoyed the four seasons. He was an avid outdoorsman who cherished camping and surf-cast fishing.

He was a founding member of the Helping Hand Fellowship of Lisbon, a past president of the Left Hand Club and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Mike is survived by his wife, Betsy, of Deltona, Fla.; a son, Shawn Landry and wife, DeeDee, of Auburn; a daughter, Shannon Allen and husband, George, of Lisbon Falls; a stepdaughter, Christine Kelley and husband, Randy, of St. Augustine; a brother, Martin Landry and his wife, Nancy, of Tallahassee, Fla. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Justin and Paige Landry of Auburn, Ricky and Emily Allen of Lisbon Falls, Wesley and Patrick Kelley of St. Augustine; and two nieces, Kristen Powell and Jennifer Steuben of Florida.
