1940 – 2016

SOUTH PARIS — Faith L. Burnham, 75, a former resident of Leeds died Tuesday morning, May 24, at Market Square Health Center in South Paris.

She was born July 3, 1940, the daughter of Walter M. and Constance Cole Jackson Emerson. Faith attended Gardiner High School; she graduated from Leavitt High School in 1981 and the University of Maine in 1997. On June 2, 1961, she married David Burnham Sr. in Gardiner. David passed away Feb. 15, 2010.

She was a member of the Leeds Nazarene Church, the Women’s Temperance Christian Union, the Historical Society of Monmouth, Country Air Quilters and the Pine Tree Quilters.

She taught English as a second language for Adult Education for 16 years at SAD 52 in Turner. She also worked at Rowe Ford in Auburn for 11 years at the same time as teaching. Faith enjoyed reading and crafts.

She is survived by her son, David A. Burnham Jr. of Otisfield.

She was predeceased by her parents; and her husband, David Burnham Sr.
