NEW VINEYARD — Elizabeth A. Pike, 85, of New Vineyard died at her home on Wednesday, May 18.
Elizabeth was born Jan. 7, 1931, a daughter of William and Ida (Merry) Noonan. She graduated from Farmington High School and continued her education in Portland for business. Elizabeth worked at the Sun Journal for more than 30 years.
Elizabeth was an independent person who enjoyed being in the comfort of her own home. In the 1960s, her love of the outdoors led her to live in Alaska for several years. Later in life, she made her home on Sabattus Lake in Greene with her husband, Robert Pike. She enjoyed skiing, fishing, golfing and taking trips to Florida. Elizabeth was also a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed going on group outings.
She is survived by her brother, Blaine Noonan and his wife, Cindy, of Boothbay Harbor; nephews, Tristan Noonan and his companion, Cindy Ravinski, of Portland, and Kristofer Noonan and his wife, Katie, of South Weymouth, Mass.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Robert Pike.
