LEWISTON — Aspirations-focused organizations presented to over 50 residents in Lewiston Housing Authority’s Hillview Resource Center at the fourth annual Hillview Family Education and Aspirations Fair on May 12.

Organizations included: University of Maine Cooperative Extension, Headstart, Lewiston Adult Education, Lewiston High School’s Aspirations Lab, University of Southern Maine, Kaplan University, New Ventures, Healthy Androscoggin, the Lewiston Public Library, Literacy Volunteers, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services, Advocates for Children and the Lewiston Police Department.

Attendees discussed future career ideas, continuing education as adults, enrollment in early childhood programs and engaging in art activities. Each youth received free books and games, school supplies and a T-shirt.

Organizations and attendees had in-depth conversations about early childhood education, college aspirations and local summer programming.
