Memorial Day service in Paris

PARIS — The First Universalist Church will celebrate Memorial Day on Sunday, May 29, with special music and readings.

Marilyn Hammond and Sharon Bouchard will facilitate the 10 a.m. worship service.

Music is under the direction of Donna Hurd and will include duets with Civil War-era music. The choir will also sing special selections.

Fellowship and coffee will follow the worship service, and all are welcome. The church offers child care and the church is wheelchair-accessible. It welcomes and celebrates all beliefs.

Homecoming service in Dixfield

DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Nazarene Church will lead a homecoming service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 5. 

Sunday school will be held at 9:30 a.m., and there will be a lunch following the service.

Daughters of Isabella to meet

JAY — Daughters of Isabella St. Timothy’s Circle 504 will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at the Holy Savior Church Hall

Chairwomen are Sharon Gates and Jan Hooley. Committee members are Donna Gilbert, Lilly Burns and Barbara Pelletier.

Lorraine Barre will be congratulated on her 49 years of membership with the group.

The Daughters will announce their 2016 scholarships during the 9:30 a.m. graduation Mass on Sunday, June 5. Following the Mass, the Knights of Columbus will offer a graduation breakfast. The Daughters are asked to bring desserts and to help serve.

Summer Bash Carnival

WILTON — Calvary Hill Baptist Church will host the Summer Bash Carnival from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 5. 

The event is free, but donations will be accepted for the homeless shelter.

It will include prizes, games, a bounce house and food.
