ORONO — Three students from Mt. Blue High School in Farmington performed at the 2016 Maine Music Educators Association’s All State Music Festival from May 19 to 21 at the University of Maine.

Junior Jillian Conant sang in the All State Chorus. Conant sings in the school’s chorus and plays violin in orchestra.

Freshman Hallie Pike performed in the All State Band. She plays clarinet in the school’s concert and jazz bands.

Junior Nolan Rogers performed in the All State Orchestra. Rogers plays cello in the school orchestra and sings in the chorus.

The three also participate in Mid-Maine Youth Orchestra, among other ensembles.

The three auditioned for the festival last November and were selected to participate with the most accomplished student musicians throughout the state.

Students in grades nine through 12 interested in auditioning for the 2017 All State Festival will have the chance to do so on Nov. 5 at Skowhegan High School. Band, chorus and orchestra students should contact their teachers for more information.
