RUMFORD — Graveside services for Retired Fire Chief Gordon Touchette were held Friday, May 27, at 1:30 p.m., at St. John Cemetery.

The Rev. Alfred Jacques officiated. Military honors were rendered by the Maine Military Funeral Honor Guard. The Fireman’s Prayer was recited by Mexico Fire Chief Gary Wentzell. The honor guards were Assistant Fire Chief Dale Roberts, and Deputy Fire Chief Richie Jones. The color guards were PVT Eric Giroux, Retired Deputy Fire Chief Ray Broomhall, PVT Donald Coulombe, and PVT Seth Marshall. Gordon’s urn was placed by MedCare Board President Steve Brown. The last tone was given by Oxford County Dispatch. Agencies in attendance were Rumford Fire, Mexico Fire, Carthage Fire, MedCare, Oxford County Sheriffs Department and Rumford Police. An escort was provided by the Rumford Police Department.

Services were under the care and guidance of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, Cremation & Monument Services, 250 Penobscot St., Rumford.
