AUBURN — Jon Wallace will present “Scaling our Solar System” from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, at the Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St.

The presentation is part of the library’s “From Our Town to Outer Space” NASA programming.

Attendees will explore the distances and sizes of planets and the sun in the solar system.

Participants will complete hands-on activities to make models and pace out a “true” scale model of the solar system to gain a better understanding of what it actually looks like.

The event is free and open to the public.

Danville members meeting at Chickadee

LEWISTON — Members of the Danville Junction Grange will meet for dinner at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at Chickadee Restaurant 1472 Lisbon St.

At 7 p.m. they will hold a meeting at the grange hall, where they will elect officers for the ensuing year.

Members are reminded to bring clipped coupons for the troops.
