DIXFIELD — The River Valley Animal Advocates will hold its annual perennial plant sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4, in the empty lot next to Rowe’s Afternoon Delite.

The sale is one of two major fundraisers the group holds during the year. The other is a yard sale.

The River Valley Animal Advocates was founded in October 2009, to “promote and support healthy, loving and positive connections and interactions between humans and animals for the physical, emotional, and spiritual betterment of them all.”

Becky McDonald, president of River Valley Animal Advocates, said the group has helped more than 800 cats get spayed, neutered and vaccinated since 2009.

She said the Canton Parks and Trails Committee donated plants left from its plant sale and will be available during the June 4 sale.
