‘Seed to Tree’ workshop in Farmington
FARMINGTON — There will be a “Seed to Tree: How to Grow Memories into Full Stories” workshop from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 11, in Room 113 at the University of Maine at Farmington Kalikow Education Center, 186 High St.
Conducting the workshop is Lovell storyteller Jo Radner.

Bikers to ride to monthly meeting
RUMFORD — The United Bikers of Maine Oxford County will hold its monthly meeting Sunday, June 5, at Captain Bly’s Tavern on Route 17 in Buckfield.
Meeting will include legislation pertaining to motorcycling, the upcoming riding season and events and memberships. Calendars, newsletters, patches and stickers will be available.
Members will gather at 10 a.m. at the Rumford Information Center to ride together to Buckfield.
The meeting is open to all motorcyclists, motorcycle riders, members and nonmembers. The public is welcome.
Knitting Guild to meet
PARIS — The Western Maine Knitting Guild will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, at the Haskell House next to the First Congregational Church on East Main Street.
The guild will hold a yarn, swap to celebrate spring clean up. Other items that can be swapped include patterns and needles.
Ther will be a show-and-tell, and coffee will be served.

Historical Society to meet June 9
WILTON — The Wilton Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting the second Thursday of the month until November.
Each month we will have a guest speaker. The meetings are held at the Farm and Home Museum on Canal Street.
The business meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. with the guest speaker presenting around 7 p.m.

Historical Society to talk family camping
WATERFORD — The Waterford Historical Society will hold its first meeting of the season at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at the Old Town House beside Keoka lake.
Trustees will be elected and there will be potluck refreshments.
The program will discuss the origins of family camping and the history of Keoka Beach campground.
The society will open its museums from 9 a.m. until noon on July 4. The Mary Gage Rice Museum is open by appointment.
The Old Town House will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays throughout July and August.
Horse Shoe Club meeting Monday
RUMFORD — The Rumford Horse Shoe Club meets at 5:30 p.m. Mondays for anyone 18 and older interested in playing.

Mexico UCC lawn, bake sale
MEXICO — The Mexico Congregational Church, UCC, the “Green Church,” will host its annual lawn sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 25.
The sale will feature kitchen and household goods, clothing and books. Among the vintage items being offered is a large unique oak-framed chalkboard.
The Women’s Fellowship of the church will also hold a baked goods sale.
4-H Fair, auction June 11
FARMINGTON — The Franklin County 4-H Fair and 4-H Benefit Auction will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at the Farmington Fairgrounds.
This family-friendly event will feature hands-on activities and workshops led by 4-H youths and volunteers.
The auction is at 7 p.m. with a viewing at 6 p.m. It will be hosted by Franklin County’s 4-H Leader’s Association. Proceeds will benefit the 4-H Youth Development Program in Franklin County.
Admission is free and open to the public.
