I was wondering if anyone can relate to the escalating incidents of road rage locally.

I have a teenager who is learning how to drive. On our way up Route 4, a Honda Ridgeline truck was traveling way above the speed limit — we could see it coming in the rear-view mirror. When the road merges to one lane, the vehicle ended up behind us. Going by the old Chick-A-Dee Restaurant, the vehicle tried to pass in the breakdown lane. I explained to my young driver to stay calm but use the turn signal to turn left before we usually do, just to give extra notice of our left turn. I could see what was about to happen. Sure enough the truck passed us in the turning lane and gestured at my young driver as he passed.

I couldn’t get the whole license plate but remember the vehicle.

How do we train our children to obey the laws and the speed limits while driving when there are too many of those types of drivers putting them in danger?
