1942 – 2016

ORANGE CITY, Fla. — Normand L. Poisson, 73, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 1, at his residence.

He was born in Lewiston on Sept. 26, 1942, the son of the late Lionel and Fernande Poisson. He graduated from Lewiston High School in 1962. He worked in local industries: Jones & Vining, Diamond Machine, GE and Tambrands. He served in the National Guards for several years and he owned Norm’s Photo, specializing in wedding photography, until 1989 when he relocated to Florida.

Normand was avid photographer and you could always count on him having a camera ready to capture the moment. In his later years, he enjoyed collecting old cameras, making jewelry, putting together car models, and teaching his grandchildren how to tinker and fix things.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Poisson; sister, Carmen LaRue and husband, Raymond, of Westchester, Ohio; daughter, Sonia Dublis and husband, Wayne of Maitland, Fla.; son, Danny Poisson and wife, Kimberly, of Lisbon; stepsons, Robbie Howell of Savanna, Ga., Chris Howell and wife, Gina, of Ovideo, Fla.; three granddaughters, Kailey Kubich, Madeleine Dublis and Mackenna Poisson; and three grandsons, Camdan Poisson, Avery Howell and Noah Howell.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
