LEWISTON — The St. Vincent de Paul Society awarded two $2,000 scholarships to two students from area schools for the 2016-17 school year.
Emma Paradie is a graduate of Edward Little High School and will attend the University of Maine in Orono. She plans to major in bioengineering and then attend medical school. Her interest at present is a career in pediatrics.
Nicholas Parker is a graduate of Poland Regional High School. He plans to attend Husson College to major in biochemistry. He intends to go into research.
