BETHEL — The cause of a fire that quickly destroyed a shed at 1252 Intervale Road Tuesday evening remained undetermined Wednesday, Assistant Fire Chief James Young said.
“It could’ve been a lightning strike that caused it, but we need to look into it further,” he said.
He said the 10- by 10-foot shed was already fully engulfed by the time the fire and police departments showed up.
“The owner was not home at the time of the fire, and the fire didn’t spread beyond the shed,” Young said. “Nobody was injured.”
Young said that the Fire Marshal’s Office visited the scene Wednesday to further investigate and determine an official cause.
