RANGELEY — The Maine Forestry Museum is inviting girls and boys ages 6 to 8 to sign up for the Little Miss and Mister Woodchip Contest.

The contest will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, July 29, at the museum, 221 Stratton Road. It’s part of the museum’s 36th annual Logging Festival scheduled for July 29 and 30.

Contestants may sing a song or recite a poem they’ve written or select one their favorites to share. Performances such as dancing or playing musical instruments will not be accepted for the competition.

Every contestant receives a prize.

Winners will ride in the Little Miss and Mister Woodchip float in the Forestry Museum parade on July 30, and will be introduced at the festival immediately after the parade.
