1928 – 2016

AUBURN — Patricia E. Nadeau, 88, a resident of Livermore passed away Wednesday, June 8, at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn.

She was born March 15, 1928, in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Peter and Carmelle (Labine) Castonguay. She attended St. Rose of Lima School and after 60 years, she was very proud to have received her diploma from Livermore Falls High School in 1988. On Jan. 27, 1947, she married Hugh J. Nadeau at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. He passed away on April 28, 1998.

Patricia worked at Food City, The Glove Shop Factory and in the Livermore Falls High School cafeteria. Patricia also volunteered at the Livermore voting as a ballot clerk. She was a communicant at St. Rose of Lima Church. She enjoyed her flower gardens, was a great cook and loved spending time with her family. She was also a big New England Patriots fan.

She is survived by her daughters, Elaine N. Romano and her husband, Rick, of Jay, Anita McGinnis and her husband, Mike, of Winthrop; sons, Mike Nadeau and his wife, Pat, of Manchester, Jeff Nadeau and his wife, Bonnie, of Readfield, Donald Nadeau and his wife, Wendy, of Livermore, Robert Nadeau and his wife, Lillian, of Brewer; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Castonguay; sisters, Jackie Mercier and her husband, David, Anita Couture and her husband, Gilles, Claudette Lemelin, Theresa Maranda and Pauline Dione.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Rene and Roger Castonguay; and her sisters, Lorraine Cote, Gloria Henry, Louise Nolette and Marguerite Williams.
