GARDINER — The Open Book Players will present “The Wizard of Oz,” adapted by Dr. William Adams and based on the classic story by L. Frank Baum.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 11, and 2 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at Johnson Hall, 280 Water St.
The show features 19 performers from neighboring communities ranging in age from 8 to 15. Each actor will perform multiple roles during the course of the four-part adaptation.
Performers include Katie and Casey Daigle, Annie Giroux, Claudia Dunn, Alexa Gallant, Emma Curtis, Daisy Cole, Kaylee Benoit, Amara Beganny, Evelyn Henke, Ruby Colwell, Peyton Stevens, Julian Kennett, Lilly Diversi, Allison Lerch, Sarah Rossignol, Leah Herrick, Yana Montell and Lily Matos.
Show director is Lucy Rioux with assistance from Cindy Turcotte. Technical crew includes Linus and Naomi Obenhaus, with assistance from Wyatt Giroux.
Tickets cost $5 for students, $8 for general admission.
