1936 – 2016
LEWISTON — Raymond LaRoche, 80, of Lewiston died unexpectedly Thursday, June 2, at his home.
He was born in Auburn on Jan. 23, 1936, one of seven children born to Omer and Irene (Lambert) LaRoche. In 1954, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in California and Newfoundland, serving in the medical field.
In later years, he was a tour bus driver with Maine Line. Ray was also employed at Brewer Waste Management from which he retired.
He is survived by his former wife, Irene, and their four children, John, Terry, Michael and Sandy, all of California. Other survivors include three grandchildren, Joey and Robert Barbosa and Matthew Black; siblings, Roger LaRoche and Paulette LaRoche, both of Auburn; along with many nieces and nephews.
Ray was predeceased by brothers, Paul and Lambert; and by sisters, Yvette (Ayotte) and Henriette (Howes).
