1980 – 2016

JAY — Beonka Lynn Kessinger, 35, a resident of Jay, passed away peacefully, early Monday morning, June 13, at her residence following a trying battle with pancreatic cancer. Beonka has now moved on to the next chapter in her life, joining her beloved mother and grandmother in Heaven.

She was born in Farmington, the daughter of Charles Kessinger and Melodie (Pomeroy) Kessinger. She was a 1998 graduate of Jay High School and continued her education at Central Maine Community College in Auburn. Beonka worked for New Hampshire Motor Speedway as a guest parking supervisor from 1998 to 2008 and later in the health care profession. Her most recent position was as a unit coordinator at Victorian Villa in Canton.

She enjoyed the outdoors, 4-wheeling, camping, going to United Bikers of Maine statewide events and riding her Harley-Davidson. Beonka was a loving and devoted mother and was very proud of her sons, Keegan and Dawson. Beonka was an amazing person and was always one of the first ones there to help out family and friends. She loved her family with all her heart. If you had the opportunity to meet Beonka, she was one you will never forget.

She is survived by her fiancé, Dana Churchill; her sons, Keegan and Dawson; her dad, Charles Kessinger Sr.; and her brother, Charles Kessinger II, all of Jay; as well aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many, good friends.

She was predeceased by her mother, Melodie Dalot; and maternal grandparents, Wilfred and Ardena (Cook) Pomeroy; and paternal grandparents, Albert Kessinger and Barbara Cotton.
