The Kennebec Journal reported (http://bit.ly/1Pte7W9 ) 32-year-old Arlene Edson entered her guilty pleas to four assault charges through her attorney on Tuesday in Augusta. She was fined $300. The assaults happened Nov. 27 to Dec. 11, 2014.

Edson is suing the Riverview Psychiatric Center in Augusta over a 2013 incident in which she was pepper-sprayed and restrained by a worker.

Documents say Edson was pepper-sprayed and restrained by a correctional officer Dec. 2, 2013 after having a verbal run-in with a nurse. Investigators said employees then covered up the incident by filing misleading reports about what happened.
