RANGELEY — With four plantations reporting late Tuesday, voters were passing the Regional School Unit 78 budget of $3.89 million by a vote of 68-62.
Voters in Dallas Plantation voted 31-25 to approve the budget, and 33-24 to keep a two-step voting process in place for the next three years.
Rangeley Plantation residents rejected the budget, 22-28 vote. They approved keeping the two budget votes, 39-11.
Sandy River Plantation voters accepted the budget by a 14-3 vote and approved keeping the two budget votes, 12-6.
Residents of Magalloway Plantation in Oxford County rejected the budget by a 1-6 vote. They voted 5-2 to keep the two-step voting process in place.
Rangeley’s voting results had not been reported as of late Tuesday.
The 2016-17 budget represents an increase of $186,953.51.
