Suppers
HARRISON — Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church will serve its “famous” chicken pie supper at 5 and 6 p.m. Saturday, June 18. If needed, there will be a 7 p.m. seating.

Pancake breakfast
PARIS — Norway-Paris Kiwanis Club 43rd Annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, July 10, from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. Breakfast is $9 for adults: children under 12 free. All you can eat! Tickets available at the event.
Cony High ’71
AUGUSTA — The Cony High School Class of 1971 is seeking classmates for its 45th reunion on Aug. 6 at the Elks Lodge, 397 Civic Center Drive. The event begins at 6 p.m. and includes a cash bar. Social time and a 50/50 raffle will run until 8 p.m. The live band will perform for dancing from 8 p.m. to midnight. Cost is $15 person person, $20 per couple. HARTFORD — Buckfield High School Class of 1966 will hold its 50th reunion reunion from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at 117 West Cove Way off Bear Road.
This is a potluck, so those attending should bring a dish to share, a drink and chair.

NORWAY — The Norway Farmers’ Market is open every Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the corner of Main and Deering streets. Among the items for sale are herbal teas, organic eggs, cutting board and utensils and beef and pork.

SUMNER — The Increase Robinson Library and Neighborhood House is now open from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and Thursdays for the summer. The library is a research/lending library with a children’s section.
Free breakfast, lunch
PARIS — Breakfast and lunch will be served this summer at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and Paris Elementary School to all children ages 18 and younger without charge.
Paris Elementary: 8 to 9 a.m. breakfast and noon to 1 p.m. lunch, Monday through Friday, June 20 to July 1, and from July 11 to Aug. 5.
Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School: 7:30 to 8 a.m. breakfast and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. lunch Monday through Friday.

Anniversary Mass
AUGUSTA — Couples celebrating milestone anniversaries will receive a special blessing from Bishop Robert P. Deeley at the Silver & Gold Anniversary Mass at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at St. Augustine Church, 1 Kendall St.
All are invited to attend the Mass, which celebrates the joy of Christian marriage, but the Mass is especially intended for those celebrating milestone anniversaries, such as their 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th or beyond.
In 2015, 36 couples, ranging in anniversaries from 5 to 65 years, participated in the Mass, which was celebrated at Holy Family Church in Lewiston.

Yard sale
WATERFORD — An indoor yard sale will be held June 18 at the Wilkins House in Waterford from 8 a.m. to 12 Noon. They are always getting new items in and have something for all ages.The Wilkins House is located on Plummer Hill Rd. next to the church in the center of Waterford. All proceeds benefit the church and the Wilkins House.
Grant
PARIS — Gardeners Growing Healthy Communities recently received a $6,400 grant from the Oxford County Fund of the Maine Community Foundation.
The grant will finance the construction of a walk-in cooler for vegetable and fruit storage at the new garden location on Route 26 in South Paris. GGHC will distribute the garden produce, along with donated fruits and vegetables, to families and individuals each week during the growing season.
“This grant will enable us to keep harvested produce fresh for our weekly distributions,” said Barbara Murphy, garden coordinator. “There is a very significant need for weekly, fresh produce in Oxford County. Currently 15.5 percent of the county is food insecure.”

Majestic Bard
HARRISON — On Thursday, June 16, at 7:30 p.m. The Zany Majestic Bard will be at Deertrees Theatre.
Presented by Harrison Village Library and Deertrees Theatre and made possible by a grant from the Maine Humanities Council, this one-hour performance-lecture created and performed by David Greenham includes history, a brief guide on how to read and understand the text, the opportunity to see Shakespeare performed by David and some special guests, and plenty of good jokes.
This event is free and open to the public.
