1951 – 2016
LISBON — Richard C. Bard, 65, of Lisbon passed away Sunday, June 12, at his home.
He was born in Lewiston on Jan. 16, 1951, to parents Cecile Therriault and Conrad C. Bard.
He enjoyed gardening, taking pride in his yard and saltwater fishing. He also loved his domestic animals, his cat, Hemi, especially spending time with family, friends, kids and grandkids. WWE wrestling were big nights in his home. He was also a very avid New England sports team fan (us boys overruled mom).
As the illness took over, he found peace in crafting with his wife for income. After his wife had multiple strokes, he stood by her side and took care of her. After her passing, he wasn’t left much time to enjoy life, but all us kids made the best for him. Facebook became a lifeline to the world.
Richard worked at Hillcrest from 1966 to 1969, and Miller Industries (mill work) until a knee injury in 1981.
He is survived by his son, Timothy Bard and fiancée, Melissa Elwell; brothers, Roger Bard and wife, Lorraine, Alfred Bard and his wife, Joanne, Raymond and his wife, Debra; a sister, Linda Coppens and her husband, Dave; grandchildren, Richard F.C. Bard and partner, Lauren Cash, Liam R. Moore, Nick Dingley and Kait Dingley, and Jodi Brimmer; two great-grandchildren, Toby Bard and Elijah Brimmer; and several nieces, nephews and close friends, one in particular, Timothy C. White, who has been here helping in whatever way that Richard needed. He also provided moral support for the family.
He was predeceased by his wife, Linda (Kramarz) Bard; and son, Frank B. Dingley.
