Robin Dow Seniors to meet
AUBURN — Robin Dow Senior Citizens met June 8 for a special cookout with the residents of Schooner Estates. Chaplain Pat Donohue gave an opening prayer and bonus bingo was played before going outside for a Hawaiian barbecue.
The next meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 22. The directors will meet at 10:45 a.m. preceding the regular meeting.
New members are always welcome to join the club and take part in activities.

Trinity offering free summer lunches
LEWISTON — The Trinity Jubilee Center, 53 Spruce St., is offering free meals to those 17 and younger now through Aug. 30 as part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Service Program.
Breakfast will be served from 8 to 9 a.m. Monday through Friday, and lunch from 11 a.m. to noon Monday through Saturday.
Weekly giveaways and activities will be offered.
“Anyone in need is welcome to attend our daily lunch and we see higher numbers when kids are on school vacations,” said Executive Director Erin Reed. “Now we’ll be adding a separate lunch for kids, plus breakfast for kids. We’re excited to be able to offer healthy meals to children who may otherwise go hungry.”

Neighborhood Watch Group meeting
AUBURN — United New Auburn Neighborhood Watch Group, sponsored by the Auburn Police Department, has moved its meeting location to the Sixth Street Congregational Church.
The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 23.
Story of PTSD at Rotary
LEWISTON – Lewiston Auburn Rotary President Giselle St. Amand will share her personal story of the recent loss of her husband at the next Rotary fellowship from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at the Ramada Inn.
Her husband had been battling Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) for more than two years. He proudly served our country with two tours in Iraq.
St. Amand has worked in the Lewiston-Auburn area for 10 years and was named Store Manager of TD Bank in Gray. She has been in banking for close to 20 years. Raised in Topsham, she is a graduate of Mt. Ararat High School and the University of Southern Maine.

Auburn offering free meals
AUBURN — Auburn School Department will offer free breakfasts and lunches to pre-school children through age 18 beginning Monday, June 27, to Aug. 19.
All meals must be eaten on-site.
Meals will be offered Monday through Friday at the following sites: Park Avenue School, Fairview School, Pettengill Park, Boys & Girls Club, YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston, PAL Center, Walton School, and Sherwood Heights School.

Golf tournament benefiting scholarships
GRAY — The Maine Juniors Volleyball Annual Golf Tournament is scheduled for Sunday, July 10, at Spring Meadows Golf Club.
Admission to the tournament is $400 for team of four, and all proceeds will benefit Athletes-in-Need Scholarships.
There is a Shotgun Start at 1 p.m., an 18-Hole Scramble and Best Ball.
