LEWISTON — Monique Roy, incoming president of Lewiston-Auburn Rotary District 7790, will be the featured speaker at the next Rotary Fellowship meeting from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston.
Roy will share the club’s aspirations for the upcoming year and the 100th anniversary celebration of the club’s charter.
Roy has been a Rotarian since April 2012, serving as chair of the Scholarship Committee since 2013.
Her career has been focused mainly on education, working in the public school sector and in adult and higher education. Her passion lies in lifelong learning and community service.
She currently works for the University of New England as the assistant program manager for the graduate programs in education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in leadership studies. She has lived in Lewiston for the past 10 years, settling after her husband completed his service in the U.S. Navy.
