1963 – 2016
BANGOR — Michael Alan Child, 52, a resident of Athens, passed away Saturday, June 18, at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
He was born July 21, 1963, in Farmington, the son of Arthur “Sonny” Child Sr. and Joanne (Pease) Child. He was a 1982 graduate of Mount Blue High School in Farmington. He worked as a medical technician in the health care industry, and in retail at Wal-Mart and Big Apple. He enjoyed computer games, sports and bowling.
He is survived by his fiancée, Tina Meng of Athens; her daughters, Tiara and Brianna Meng; his mother, Joanne Child of Wilton; brothers, Arthur Child Jr. and fiancée, Patty Ladd, of Farmington and George Child and his wife, Rachel, of Salem, Va.; sisters, Justine Child of Wilton and Lynn O’Connor and her husband, Robert, of Farmington.
He was predeceased by his father, Arthur Child Sr.
