1933 – 2016

FARMINGTON — Helen C. Pottle, 82, of Farmington passed away Tuesday, June 21, at Orchard Park Rehabilitation & Living Center in Farmington.

She was born Oct. 16, 1933, in Gardiner, the daughter of Romeo and Margaret Blouin. Helen was educated in the schools of Gardiner. On Jan. 3, 1953, she married Charlie Pottle. She was a homemaker for most of her life but also worked for three years in the cafeteria at Mt. Blue High School, for Shop & Save in Farmington until 1994, and was also a self-employed childcare provider. Helen was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Farmington and served on the Alter Guild. She also volunteered at Franklin Memorial Hospital’s Gift Shop. She enjoyed walking, snowmobiling, camping, her cats, and most of all her children and grandchildren.

Helen is survived by her four sons, Stephen Pottle and wife, Peggy, of Wilton, Jeffry Pottle and wife, Kris, of New Sharon, Gregory Pottle of Jay, and David Pottle of Waterville; her daughter, Gail Penedo and husband, Victor, of Florida; 10 grandchildren, Ben, Emily, Adam, Andrew, Mike, Brianna, Christy, Haley, Alejandro and Alessandra.

She was predeceased by her husband.
