Classic car show Wednesday

NORWAY — The Uptown Cruizahs car club will host a classic car show from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, at the Norway Center for Health and Rehabilitation, 29 Marion Ave.

The event will include live music, belly dancers and free refreshments. 

Heritage Society open house

WEST PARIS — The Finnish American Heritage Society will host an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sundays, July 3 to Aug. 28, at 8 Maple St.

The hall will not be open Sunday, Aug. 21.

All are invited to stop by, cool off, share in the coffee and pastries and visit the museum and gift shop.

Free meal daily for kids 

WEST PARIS — Meals will be provided to all children ages 18 and younger without charge from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday through July 29 at the Agnes Gray School.

A meal will not be served Monday, July 4.

Nezinscot Valley writing, photo competition 

BUCKFIELD — The Zadoc Long Free Library will hold the first annual Nezinscot Valley Writing and Photo Competition open to all residents in the towns of Buckfield, Sumner and Hartford.

Submissions are due in the Buckfield Town Office no later than 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13.

Awards and prizes will be presented at the annual Buckfield Community Day on Sept. 5.

Writing and Photography awards will be distributed among three age groups, child, age 5 to 12; teen, 13 to 19; and adult, age 20 and older. Categories in writing are poetry, short stories and essays. Photography categories are nature, animals, people, architectural, sports/action/dance, creative and chemical black and white.

First in flight A E/W were Fred Donald and Jerry Divincnzo; second, Hazel Glazier and Marta Clements; tied for third, Diana and Jim Fallon and Diana and Franf Ferland.

During the 1 p.m. game, finishing first in flight A were David and Sally Magee; first in flight B, Paul Clement and Rick Verrill; first in flight C, Cindy and Bob Kirchherr.
