CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Carrabassett Valley will hold its Fourth of July celebration from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the town park.

The pool, basketball courts and tennis courts will be open weather-permitting.

The children’s parade will be at 3 p.m. 

Children can play in the sawdust pile and make craft projects from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. 

Rolling Fatties will serve burritos from 4 to 9 p.m. while D.J. Kompost provides music. 

The Fire Department will provide firetruck rides for children from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m.

The Great Stephan will perform magic tricks and make balloon animals from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The day will finish with a fireworks display around 9 p.m.

Those attending should bring a lawn chair, bug spray, towels, swimsuits, tennis rackets, tennis balls, Frisbees and sunscreen.
