JAY — Town Clerk Ronda Palmer announced upcoming early closings of the Town Office.
The Town Office will close at noon Thursday, June 30, to allow staff to close out the town’s year-end financial books.
The office will be closed Wednesday mornings beginning July 6. It will open at noon on those days.
The budget approved in April for 2016-17 that begins July 1 reduced the hours for an employee and proposed the office close early. Some staff will continue to work during the mornings.
The Transfer Station will be closed for the holiday Monday, July 4, and Tuesday, July 5.
