PARIS — Mike Miclon returns to Celebration Barn Theater for an all-new episode of “The Early Evening Show,”  on Saturday,  June 4, at 8 p.m. This month’s show will feature blues guitarist Samuel James with special guests Tom Murphy, Fritz Grobe, Amanda Huotari, and more as well as the Early Evening Show Orchestra.

Samuel James’ songwriting has been compared to Leonard Cohen’s and his guitar skills to those of Jimi Hendrix. An award-winning songwriter, a renowned innovative guitar player, and an NPR “Moth”-featured storyteller, James brings all of this to his amazing stage show. His live performances are intimate, powerful, and blisteringly soulful.

“The Early Evening Show,” a spoof of late-night talk shows, has been performed from Maine to Switzerland and built it’s reputation with a 14-year run at the Oddfellow Theater in Buckfield.

The show’s wild improvisations, surprise guests and audience interactions have made it the longest-running live variety show in Maine. The Bangor Daily News called it, “a seamless, hilarious production” and CBS Sunday Morning called it, “must-see reality.”
There will be new shows on the first Saturday of the month through October.
