NAPLES — Deb Danuski, member of the Maine Blues Festival Committee, recently presented two Maine Blues musician’s scholarships to members of the Lisbon High School Class of 2016.
The first recipient is Alyssa Briglio, who graduated magna cum laude. Briglio will major in pre-med at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
The second recipient is Brianna Livingston, who graduated cum laude. Livingston will be enrolled in the 3+2 psychological counseling degree program at the University of Maine at Farmington.
Each student received a $750 scholarship.
Danuski said this scholarship is unique because it comes directly from over 20 of Maine’s finest blues musicians who donate their time and talent each year at the Worumbo Blues Festival and Revue.
Danuski noted that this was one of the smallest high school senior classes that she can remember, with only 47 graduating students.
