Run by the Lake 5k planned

HARRISON — Harrison Parks and Recreation Department’s 14th annual 5K Run by the Lake will coinside with Harrison Old Home Days at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 6.

The race is a fundraiser for the Parks & Recreation Department. Whoopie pies will be available at the finish line, and there will be bib drawings and raffle prizes.

Society to tour Bennett House

LOCKE MILLS — Jim and Julie Bennett, posing as Frank and Mary Bennett, will host a program at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, for the Greenwood Historical Society at The Bennett House on Main Street.

They will show guests through their home, which is one of the Greenwood Historical Society museums. Shown will be the many improvements recently made to the home, as well as the new exhibits now part of the permanent collection.
