SeniorsPlus Caregiver Support Groups 

FARMINGTON — SeniorsPlus will host Caregiver Support Group from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, July 11, at 218 Fairbanks Road.

The support group is designed to provide emotional, educational and social support for caregivers. It helps caregivers develop coping methods and encourages caregivers to maintain their personal, physical and emotional health

Meetings are held the first Monday of the month unless it falls on a holiday, and then the meeting will be held the second Monday. Those attending may call to confirm.

Step Falls hike July 12

NEWRY — The Mahoosuc Land Trust will host an all-ages hike along the relatively easy Step Falls Trail from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 12.

Hikers should meet at the Step Falls parking lot trailhead on Route 26. 

National park naturalist Paul Motts will lead the 1-mile forest hike through the large evergreens. 

Those hiking should wear sturdy footwear and bring bug-repellent and water.

Summer reading at Whitman Library

BRYANT POND — The Whitman Memorial Library will have a weekly summer reading program for children ages 2 to 12 on Tuesdays, July 12, through Aug. 9.

The program will include stories, crafts and snacks.

Ironman competitor at library

NORWAY — Ironman competitor Angela Bancroft will speak at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, at the Norway Memorial Library.

Bancroft will speak about her experience as a competitor and how she stays motivated to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Her athletic experience includes competitive swimming through college, running marathons, Ironman competitions and coaching national and international athletes.

This program’s part of the library’s adult summer reading program, I’m Bookin’ It. It’s not necessary to participate in the reading program to attend this program. It is free and open to the public.
