BANGOR (AP) — A 27-year-old Maine man who pleaded guilty to producing child pornography has been sentenced to 50 years in federal prison.

Timothy Klimas was also sentenced Monday in a Bangor federal court to a lifetime of supervised release.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Klimas sexually abused three children between 2012 and 2014. Prosecutors say he used a digital camera and his cellphone to record images of the children and posted them online.

The Bangor man pleaded guilty last September to producing and distributing child pornography. He was arrested in August 2014 following an investigation by the FBI and local police departments.
