Do you have any non-large items you don’t need anymore? Do you want to help save the lives of our feral feline friends? We are looking for items, in good shape, gently used, previously loved for our Super Summer Yard Sale. Join us and help make these days a memorable one for Tommy’s kitties. Your empty bottles are also appreciated.
Delivery for donated items will be on July 28 and 29 and the morning of July 30. We are unable to offer pickup.

Your donated items, bottles and financial donations will go a long way to help us continue to save the lives of the forgotten feral cats. For the past 37 years, we have been on a mission to save lives, and with your help and support, Tommy’s Feral Feline Friends can continue this important mission on a daily basis. Thank you so much for your generosity.

The yard sale and bottle drive will be held on July 28, 29 and 30, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Route 202, 700 Main Street, Greene, across the street from Hurricane Cafe and next to Farris Equipment. For more information, please contact Norm Blais at normblais39@yahoo.com.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: You are cordially invited to attend Christmas in August, a reunion of sorts with friends and family and two birthday gatherings, all rolled up into one. This spectacular event is to be held at Dailey’s A2Z Self-Storage located on Route 108 in Canton.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus, of Canton Angels’ fame (Chris Dailey and Linda Williams), are planning a Christmas in August party on Aug. 6 to benefit Santa’s Canton Angels, and all are invited. The event coincides with Chris and Linda’s respective birthdays. This event benefiting children is their gift to each other.

This party will be in two parts, first from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. geared for the kids, with games, etc. The second half, beginning at 7 p.m., is geared more for the big kids with the music of world renowned Terry Moore and Company.

Dailey’s A2Z Self-Storage is sponsoring the event and all we request for attendance is donations to the Canton Angels, who do their best to make sure all Canton kids stay warm and find something in there stocking on Christmas Day. Appropriate clothing and toys are appreciated.

There will be games, crafts, face painting and prizes for the kids, along with a bouncy house and a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Elves of all ages are appreciated and welcome to participate in the fun. We recommend you bring a lawn chair, along with your own food and beverages. Grills will be available for cooking and tent camping is welcome, though RV camping space is limited and there is no dumping or water stations.

You are welcome to bring fireworks to be part of a larger display. A tent will be set up in case of rain. Thank you. — Chris, Canton.
