1948 – 2016
AUBURN — Barbara A. Dinsmore, 68, went to be with her mother and loving grandparents on Saturday, July 16 at Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn.
Barbara was born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick on February 3, 1948, daughter to Emerson and Dorothy (Tyler) Dinsmore. She was raised in Calais and moved to the Lewiston area in 1997, and for the past eight years resided at Pinnacle Health and Rehab in Canton. Barbara loved life, her family and pets. She enjoyed being the center of attention and participated in Special Olympics where she won many ribbons.
Barbara leaves behind her father, Emerson W. Dinsmore of Greene; her aunt, Pearl Boardman of Calais; four brothers, Emmie and wife, Sue, of Topsham, Frank and wife, Laurie, of Oxford, Donald of Calais, and Carl of Sabattus; one sister, Mary Murray and husband, Randy, of Turner; nieces, Jennifer Dinovelli of California and Marie Montalvo and husband, Bill, of Raymond; as well as other nieces and nephews.
Barbara was predeceased by her mother, Dorothy Dinsmore; and her niece, Pamela Dinsmore. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.maysfuneralhome.com
