BUCKFIELD — Filmmaker Michael Miclon of Buckfield will show the final cut of “Richard3” at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at Buckfield High School auditorium.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $7 and will be sold at the door.
The film is a comedic adaptation of William Shakespeare’s “Richard III.”
Thirteen members of the cast and crew are alumni of the Buckfield High School Drama Club and were vital to the completion of the film.
The film was shot on location throughout Maine, from Fort Popham in Phippsburg to the former St. Patrick’s Church in Lewiston. Only Maine actors were cast, all of whom were classically trained physical comedy stage performers.
The film is Miclon’s directorial debut, and he is also the screenwriter and lead actor. Over 300 extras from all over Maine and New Hampshire were included.
