AUBURN — Vivian M. Ray, 83, a resident of Washington Street, Auburn passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, July 17 at the Sarah Frye Home with her loving daughter, Laurie, by her side, following a long illness.
She was born in Clifton on May 4, 1933, the daughter of Ellery R. and Florence E. (Bumps) Hewey. Vivian was a nurse’s aide for various local nursing homes until her retirement several years ago.
She had an incredible love for all animals. She loved children and caring for others in need. Vivian was always smiling and was most proud of her grandchildren who made her world. She enjoyed working on puzzles and word searches.
Survivors include one daughter, Laurie Servidio of Lewiston; one brother, Bernard Hewey of Oxford; and two grandchildren, Alexis Servidio and Ridge Servidio; as well as nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles; two brothers, Gene and Lawrence Hewey; one sister, Cora Mederios; and a sister-in-law, Glenna Hewey.
